We are seeking reliable, trustworthy, and detail-oriented pet sitters and dog walkers who understand the responsibility and genuinely enjoy caring for animals of all kinds, including dogs, cats, fish, turtles, lizards, and other small companion animals.

About the Role

Valley Pet Sitting provides concierge-level, in-home pet sitting and private dog walking services year-round. Our care includes early mornings, later evenings, weekends, and holidays—reflecting the level of availability our clients expect from a luxury service provider.

Because our sitters build lasting relationships with pets and households, we prefer candidates able to commit to at least one year.

What You’ll Be Doing

As a member of our care team, you will:

Provide attentive, thoughtful, compassionate care for a wide range of pets, including dogs, cats, birds, fish, reptiles, exotic companions, and livestock such as chickens, ducks, pigs, goats, and horses.

Walk dogs or backyard time interaction
Z
Follow detailed care instructions while maintaining clients’ homes and pets’ established routines, including cleaning litter boxes and habitats; refreshing food and water; retrieving mail and packages; watering plants; managing trash in/out; and performing basic home security checks.

Communicate clearly and regularly with our office and clients via app
Z
Travel between client homes throughout your schedule
Z
Work comfortably in all weather conditions

Job Requirements

- Must be 18 years or older
- Must have access to your own reliable, insured vehicle
- Must have a smart phone with unlimited data and texts
- Must be able to handle animals of all sizes, species, temperaments
- Must be able to work/drive/walk in all types of inclement weather including rain, extreme cold temps and hot temps
- Willing to commit to working at least 1 year
- Able to work weekends and holidays (You will get time with family as well)
- Excellent Customer Service and Communication Skills
- A detail-oriented person who can follow directions
- Animals can be unpredictable and sitters need to be proactive, quick thinking, problem solvers
- Must be punctual, responsible, organized, honest, team player
- Able to pass a criminal background check with a clean record
